New Leaf
Therapeutic Services
New Leaf Therapeutic Services provides supportive psychotherapy for youth, adolescents, and families navigating school stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or the daily impact of ADHD and neurodivergence.
Samantha Gibson, Registered Psychotherapist (RP), works closely with neurodivergent youth who experience impulsivity, sensory sensitivity, compulsive or addictive behaviours, difficulties with emotion regulation (including anxiety, depression, or anger), organization challenges, and social stress.

Services
New Leaf Therapeutic Services offers individual counselling and parent sessions in-person at the Oshawa, ON office or virtually upon request.

Individual Psychotherapy
$135
For youth and young adults (12+) with ADHD, autism, and related challenges.
Therapy is a space to pause and make sense of what’s going on: the racing thoughts, the frustration, the exhaustion of trying to meet expectations that never quite fit.
We work on what matters most to you: regulating emotions, improving focus, understanding relationships, and finding routines that feel sustainable. Some clients are looking for practical tools; others just need a place to talk and not be misunderstood. Both are welcome.
If addiction is part of the picture (whether substances, gaming, or something else) we explore it through the lens of neurodivergence, not shame. We look at patterns, triggers, and what might help you regain control without losing the parts of you that make sense.

Parent Sessions
For parents of neurodivergent youth seeking clarity, confidence, and connection.

When your child struggles, it can be hard to know what helps. You want to support them, but the advice online feels generic, or, worse, guilt-inducing.
Parent sessions are a space to slow things down. We talk about what you’re noticing, what’s working, and what’s not. I share insights and strategies drawn from my work with ADHD, autism, and emotion regulation, helping you respond in ways that feel calm, clear, and possible.
These sessions can happen alongside your child’s therapy or on their own — to give you the language, understanding, and tools to feel more at ease in your role.
My Approach
New Leaf Therapeutic Services uses evidence-based approaches tailored to each young person and family. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, it’s a collaborative space to understand what’s getting in the way, build new skills, and move toward meaningful change in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
I draw from several therapeutic approaches and always adapt them to each young person’s strengths, needs, and neurodivergent profile.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps youth notice how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected.
It uses practical, mindfulness-based strategies to manage overwhelm, strengthen emotional regulation, and support motivation for the changes they want to make.
Psychoeducation & Skills Training
This approach gives clear information about ADHD, neurodivergence, or emotional challenges, helping young people and caregivers understand why certain patterns emerge.
It includes concrete tools and exercises to build coping skills, executive-functioning strategies, and healthier daily routines.
